BIKE EXPO presented by Messe München GmbH from July 23rd – 26th, 2009 is a new, comprehensive platform for the bicycle market at the New Munich Trade Fair. With the theme “Cycling Trends for City and Nature” BIKE EXPO offers the latest trends from the bicycle industry. The concept includes industry visitor preview days followed by a public exposition. The exhibition space is designed particularly with industry professionals in mind, and divided into the subjects of E- and City-Bikes as well as Fashion and Components. Dirt- and MTB-Bike oriented consumers will find a specially designated exhibition in the outdoor and demonstration areas, complete with several extensive side event highlights, as well as a public cycling race through Munich’s East End.

 

BIKE EXPO is organized by Messe München GmbH’s Consumer Goods Business Unit, which is also responsible for a number of sports platforms, such as ispo winter, ispo china or the Running Order Show. This team is assisted by competent partners, such as PLAN B – organizer of the Sympatex BIKE Festival in Riva del Garda and Willingen, as well as the multi-leg mountain bike races Transalp and Trans Germany – will coordinate the side event program and outdoor expo, as well as service the mountain bike exhibitors in this area. Bike-event experts rasoulution organize the cycling scene get-together in the outdoor areas complete with mountain bike and BMX dirt jump contests, as well as an extensive evening program including DJ sets and live music. Last but not least, the sports marketing agency runabout will hold the ‘Velonale’, a 20-kilometer bike race for everyone on Sunday, July 26th, 2009, on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair, as well as a timed race for more ambitious cyclists.  

 

Munich, a true cycling city, is predestined for a trade show with focus on cycling. The city lives and breathes the new bike culture: in addition to a well-established network of bike paths, the city and its outskirts also offer a multitude of bike trails for all disciplines and skill levels. Furthermore, Munich is the perfect trade show location thanks to its state-of-the-art exhibition center, optimal infrastructure, and extensive selection of accommodations in all hotel categories.
